Quinoa the Superfood!
Many of you have probably heard of this grain that is growing in popularity with a clean eating movement, but do you really understand why it is considered such a superfood? Although it is technically classified as part of the grain family it actually comes from the Spinach family! Although the tops of this leafy plant are edible it is the seeds that are most commonly consumed.
Here is the breakdown and why you should make it a part of your regular diet!
Plus it is so EASY to make!
Measure out 1 cup of quinoa grain into fine mesh strainer/sieve.
Bring 2 cups of water for every 1 cup of Quinoa to a boil.
Simmer uncovered for 12-15 minutes or until all of the liquid is absorbed.
Fluff with a fork and serve warm, or cold, and any way you like!
